Social Ads on Facebook is a feature that tailors ads to your friends. For example it might tell your friends when you have rated a movie 4 stars. Here’s how to disable this feature that some may find intrusive.

*  Login to your account.

* Click privacy in the upper-right corner.

* Click News Feed and Mini-Feed.

* Click the Social Ads tab.

* Set the drop-down menu for Apearance in Social Ads to No one.

if your privacy settings on Facebook is set to My Networks and Friends, that it’s possible for almost anybody to see your Facebook page? I wasn’t aware that certain people could see my info. When a co-worker of mine became a part of my network, it was a shock. Ensure your settings are set properly if you don’t want your Facebook info to get into the wrong hands.

1. Mouse over Settings in the upper-right corner and select Privacy Settings.

2. Click Profile.

3. Set your privacy settings as desired. As you can see, I’m very private. I set mine to Friends Only.

There is no way to delete your Facebook status from the Home screen. This throws a lot of people off. However, you can do the following:

1. Click Profile at the top of the page.

2. Toward the top of the screen, next to your name you can click Clear to delete your current status.
